Built during the 17th century in a Sevillian Baroque style, the Palace-House of the Marquises of Nervión was renovated during the 20th century -incorporating Regionalist style elements- and included in the catalogue of the hundred best buildings in Seville.
Now in the 21st century, the restoration accomplished by FOR Hotel Design and Padilla Nicás Arquitectos studios is based on the Palace-House original architectural details conservation and enhancement to underline the soul of each space in a building that looks to the future while respecting the past.
Corinthian and Baroque columns in the apartaments, the marble checkerboard flooring in the hallways, coffered ceilings on the ground floor and the marble baseboards of the house stand out. Also rescued are the large white marble staircase -with angels brought from Italy- to access to the gallery on the first floor or noble floor, doors on mahogany wood from Cuba and bronze fittings from the 19th century, as well as a small chapel.
