Inhabiting Art is conceived as a curatorial initiative that transforms Mercer Residences Sevilla into a living environment where hospitality and artistic practice converge. The project reimagines selected common areas and suites of the Casa Palacio as exhibition spaces, showcasing works by artists and artisans connected to Seville and integrating them seamlessly into the daily life of the hotel.
Rooted in the belief that art is not only observed but experienced, over the course of the year, twelve selected artists contribute to an evolving narrative within the Casa Palacio, shaping a dynamic and immersive artistic journey. The works inhabit the space alongside the guest, fostering an intimate dialogue between architecture, materiality, and perception. Welcome
Ceramics, embroidery, photography, design, sewing, illustration, and floral art will dialogue at Mercer Residences Sevilla, through the work of Hilando el Tiempo, Little Ediciones, Antonio Bellido, Lina Sevilla, Antonio García, Todamuta Studio, Pepe Rollo, Cristina Figueroa, Ana Jarén, Fernando Clemente, Atín Aya, and Los Claveles.
Inhabiting Art is, therefore, a manifesto of sensitive hospitality: A bridge between memory and the avant-garde, between the tradition that defines us and the creativity that drives us. Because art doesn't decorate—it illuminates, inspires, and transforms.
